The claim Hartland Paranormal debunked of The Black Angel Statue at Oakland cemetery in Iowa City, IA was that people who are not virgins who touch the statue will die in three days. One of our Co-Founders Jon Hart touched the statue on Sunday July 25, 2010 and he is in no way pure of sin. As of nine p.m. tonight he is still alive and it has been over three days. Our group is very happy that Jon did not die.

 

One of the claims of the Villisca Axe Murder House was that the closet in the upstairs bedroom opened and closed unexplainably. The bedroom belonged to the Moore children. After several incidents during our investigation of the closet door opening and closing we decided to evaluate the door closer. Upon more investigation of the door the team came to the conclusion the door opening and closing was a result of the uneven wooden boards and drafts in the house. The team decided this was not paranormal, because we were able to recreate the doors movements by simply standing in certain spots in the room.
